This board is no fun. I write a little note congratulating Robert Barry on his humor and in response get a bunch of letters from **MEN** who think they have the right to tell women that they have to give birth to babies they don't want! This in an overpopulated world ( especially overpopulated with sexually agressive men who will go to great lengths to "get some" and then get away)!

That someone once told a joke that might seem "mean" is hardly the type of thing that calls for a press conference or a formal retraction. This is truly making mountains of molehills. What you're suggesting would cause more harm than good--do you seriously want a Presidential candidate making a public statement retracting a joke about Chelsea Clinton. I don't think Chelsea would be very pleased about this.

I think comments about anyone's looks are immature, but human beings do slip up and repeat dumb jokes from time to time. That's all this is. There's no evidence McCain strangled or otherwise roughed up a cat.
