For sentiment contrarians - I notice that "Welcome to Silicon Investor" is rising up the most active threads list. It is now #2! When it reaches #1, has the "last janitor" been sucked in?

Contrast this J6P sentiment measure with mainstream expert sentiment expressed in this article (skip to near the bottom of the page): canoe.ca
I find it pretty extraordinary to hear this guy drawing a parallel to the 20s. Normally analysts opinions are so understated. I remember last July/August there were lots of editorials in the business pages saying things like "investors might wish to decrease their weighting in stocks at this time" which I knew if you read between the lines meant "run for your life!"

Just my biased opinion.

When do you think the Y2K affect will kick in, considering cycle lows about 31 Aug? I've always thought the markets discounted things 3-6 months in advance, but lately I've begun to think it doesn't discount anything.
