I agree with you 100%. I would hate to see LU buy COMS too. Contrary to what KYA27 feels I do think it would be a bad move for LU. Cabletron might be interesting but it also might be too much baggage. I do think LU need more enterprise IP if they plan on doing damage to CSCO. JMO

Oh,.. and I do believe that LU has Chambers' attention daily... make no mistake about that.

Steven, I absolutely agree with you. I believe there is not much overlap between the CS and LU line. And I really believe that LU could use Spectrum bigtime. I have not seen the one vision network management yet that LU has. Besides I have both CS & LU stock :-)

What would you think the premium would be? Heck if John can buy a private company for 6.9 billion with not nearly as many sales as CS.
I would hope CS would bring at least a $10 premium of where it is today. I have to admit it is very interesting how Siemens suddenly nixed their relationship with COMS. Either Siemens is going to buy CS or someone is going to buy COMS.
