Market magnets 8.30.99 geocities.com notes Dow: Weekly buy rating. Looks likely to test new tline (11014 untrend) this week. Nasdaq: Weekly buy rating. change of mag tline cross value to 2439 from 2458 for 9.8.99... no big deal. Weekly buy rating is keeping me somewhat hesitant to short the Nasdaq. SP500: Weekly hold rating. Made a HUGE blunder Friday by overtrading the sp short position and now would really like to see a bounce to reenter at proper level. Prolly see the new tline (1339 utrned) before a bounce occurs. Nas 100: Weekly buy rating. Along with nas composite the nas 100 help up better then the sp Friday. May see it diverge for a while. Russel 2k: Still trying to give a new magnet signal but it sure is getting bleak for the small caps. Weakest index of the bunch. Weekly sell rating. ht david
