I knew a guy who was desperate to live to 120. He subsisted on a diet of vitamin pills and some packaged sludge from a "health food" store. I'm not sure it would be worth it. Remember the good old days when a health food store had organically grown fruits and vegetables, whole grains, fresh-baked preservative-free bread, naturally made cheeses, ad infinitum, ad gloriam? Now you walk in and it's bottle after bottle of pills, and strange dehydrated substances trying to pass themselves off as meals. If that's the price of extended life, I'll do without. I wonder how many years of life we lose to the stress of worrying about aging?
