Actually that was Sal, but I agreed with him. Java did not deliver on what was marketed, that is why Corel, NSCP and Sun all failed on delivering credible, pure Java client side productivity and browsing applications. Things have changed, and Java is much better. We have souped up a commercial Java spreadsheet that blows the socks off of Excel in terms of speed. If you are on a broadband connection, try the nuomedia.com beta (don't try the server side save yet), it would probably surprise you.
