Hi Mike:

The reason for my suspicion that Europe may not lag
the US by too much is that while cable was rolled out
in the US in the 1970s, it was rolled out in Europe
much later. In France, most cable deployments took
place in the 80s. I will check whether Paris has
2-way HFC (I think it is the case) and will report
back soon.
