Speaking of which. . . .Our Long Portfolio Year-To-Date beat the Top Mutual Fund. . . and I haven't even weeded out the dogs, nor sold a single stock all year long. Here is link to Bloomberg.com, which has a daily ranking of mutual funds: bloomberg.com Here is link to our Long Portfolio Year-To-Date. . .which must be entered from the OLD SI. . .. . . techstocks.com This long port is up 151 percent. In the first 3 months of the year, it outperformed the top mutual fund by nearly twice as much. But if you REALLY want to see some performance in a long portfolio. . . check out the one, where I took a defensive position through the summer. . .called "April Alternative" . . . .it took the Internet money from the highs and re-invested it in some strong stocks that held their value. . . this port is up a whopping 238 percent since December 9, 1998.. [must be calculated from original 1381 investment] techstocks.com If I get some time, I will finish converting this port into a Long Port 1.2 August Alternative, based on our original long port. I had started this morning, then SI went down and I lost the new portfolio. And yes, I am hoping to get a mutual fund up and running. . . but the paperwork [offshore or onshore] seems to be too intimidating for most attorneys. . . so we aren't much further along than 6 months ago. Perhaps in a few months I will be able to "incent" someone to get off their butts and make it happen for me. I have received numerous requests to turn my portfolios into mutual funds and I've not forgotten. PLC Systems Inc. Announces Departure of William C. Dow Company Chairman and Co-founder Edward H. Pendergast Named Interim CEO FRANKLIN, Mass., Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- PLC Systems Inc., (Amex: PLC) today announced that William C. Dow will be resigning as president and chief executive officer to pursue a new opportunity. He will continue his role as a member of the company's Board of Directors. PLC also announced that Chairman of the Board Edward H. Pendergast will serve as interim President and CEO during the transition. The Company has retained an executive search firm to assist in hiring a permanent CEO.
