There are quite a few message boards on the internet that look and act very similiar to the New SI now. It's not a matter of where, but WHICH ONE!

Nonsense. [A word which I chose only after deleting the two words which were a better description, but less kind.] Name one.

You clearly do not appreciate the ingeniousness of the Dryer's design if you think it depends only on the easter egg colors and flat contrast used in the graphic face of the old site. I ask you to take a moment to consider what is common between a message page on the old site and the same page on the new site. Now that you've done that, you are probably a bit closer to understanding the essential (and unique) nature of this message board. Now find another message board that shares those essential elements.

You did mention the one financial site that's closest (but still far away) in surface design to SI, but Stockhouse makes a number of design mistakes that have been avoided (for the most part) by the SI designers (even though some concerned readers urged them to make the mistakes). Can you spot the major one? (Hint: It has to do with the design concept of "negative space".) It also misses in several ways on the essential design elements that make SI (whether new or old) such a useful board.

And one final agricultural note: Mindless cattle remain mindless cattle whether they stay or go. It is, in fact, their tendency to not want to go anywhere that gives them the perhaps unfair reputation as being mindless. They are, in fact, very willful creatures that are notoriously difficult to herd anywhere because they just like to stay right where they are. Only creatures that were already "mindless cattle" can be herded like mindless cattle.
