Hey, I'm not about to defend any of these guys for being pillars of the community; this biz is full of lowlife scum. But, at least they were trying to get out of the porn end and become more legitimate, if that's how you can categorize gambling.

But I can't help but think that most of this was simply a setup. Was SNMM potentially vulnerable? Yep. They probably weren't keeping tight enough reins on some of their dealings and employees. But were they guilty of everything for which they are accused? I doubt it. Even the Mafia hasn't ever faced this many diverse accusations. And where is good ol' Claude in all this? Strangely quiet. I think it's a vendetta, pure and simple.
