Hello Dr. Russell: BTIM The timing of the announcement is favorable for them. BTIM is currently oversold. A puffy PR release like this could catalyze a rebound. The opening is weak, though. 12 to 12-1/8 b/a with 2400 shares traded as of 9:40 EDT. Maybe trading will change after the 15 min delay rolls through. Otherwise, looks like doldrums to me. I have been baited at least twice that BTIM was on its final swan dive. Now I've positioned for a little rebound at the local low. So I am hoping for a rebound of a couple points.
