Bearcatbob, RE: My understanding is the 1mmcf = 6mm BTU and that 1 bbl = 6 mmBTU so that 6 to1 is the proper thermal relationship. It may be the proper thermal relationship (and indeed, that is what most E&P companies tell us, particularly those with a large gas exposure), but we're evaluating finances here, not trying to power a plant. And the cash flow that 1 bbl can generate these days is a lot closer to 10Mcf. The 6:1 relationship really hasn't been valid for several years, IMO.
