For the price, you would think they are the target for the "upper middle class", but, I'm far from there. Denver is "smogged out", but much of my driving is far outside the city at highway speeds. I just don't think it could hold 75 MPH for hours on end or climb our mountain passes with ease. Even though they claim the 1 liter engine performs as well as a 1.5 liter, I often find even a 2.5 liter small for extended high speed cruising with a/c running. Family, friends, & business often take me to South NM, East-TX, East KS and while the 70 MPG sounds great, at the end of 14 hours behind the wheel even the prior Accord starts feeling small & my current older Merc. Cougar feels far better.
