The quiet doesn't bother me at all, it just seems somehow unnatural. I have to prowl out every few minutes to make sure somebody isn't up to something devastating. If this keeps up I may even be able to get some work done. Or write something that isn't due in 10 minutes.

I don't doubt that there is plenty of chaos to come. I'm still basking in the fact that nobody poops on the floor anymore, though. Small steps forward.

My God in Heaven, that was 3:30 a.m. here in Baghdad on the Bay. How ever do you guys do that??

Being with you is like being alone. Yes, while I do have a considerable appreciation for solitude myself, I can understand where this might be received with just a hint of trepidation. I would hope that you had the decency to say "yes" before you said that.

I am going to die on June 25, 2040, at the age of 76, most likely from cancer.

I feel the same way about needing lots of time alone. And I like Chris because being with him is a lot like being alone, he's very quiet, too. I feel very comfortable being with him and saying nothing. So I know exactly what you mean.
