heinz--

japan in 90 may be generous. as fast as things move today, i would say if there were significant problems, like a 2k point drop in the dow in a short amount of time, you could see the fed and treasury having to distribute up to half a trillion just to keep the system liquid.

and once THAT genie is out of the bottle, its going to be tough as hell to get back in. the worst part is that there really isnt anything that can be done. you can tighten the credit markets and possibly cause what you are trying to avoid. or you can tighten margin reqs, then the people borrow with a 125% loan on their house and taking every possible cash advance off their plastic.

guess we will just have to see how it all plays out. for my money its either going to be really soon or maybe sometime in early november. just have to wait and see.

good luck to all,
trey
