President Al-Bashir To Address The Nation On Commencement Of Sudanese Oil Exportation

Khartoum, Aug. 27 (SUNA)-- President of the Republic, Gen. Omer Al-Bashir, is due to address the Sudanese nation on Monday through a celebration to be held at Bashayer harbour, in the Red Sea State, marking the beginning of the Sudanese oil exportation.

The Minister of Energy and Mining, Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz, and the Red Sea State's Wali (Governor) are also due to address the celebration.

Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mining and Chairman of the committee for celebrating the occasion Ali Ahmed Osman said in a news statement to SUNA that all preparations have been completed for exporting the first shipment of the Sudanese crude oil.

He said the celebration will be attended by a number of the country's quests who have been invited to partake in this occasion along with the political, executive and people's leaderships, members of foreign diplomatic corps accredited to Sudan and masses of citizens from the Red Sea and other states, he said.

He said the celebration's programme include an inauguration ceremony marking the beginning of pumping the Sudanese oil and commencement of work at Beshayer Port, then the tour of the president of the Republic and theparticipating delegations at the establishments at the port and attending the pumping of the last quantity of the oil shipment into the ship which is due to leave for Singapore carrying 600,000 barrels of Sudanese crude oil.
