yes,i have no problem if someone determines there will be a mania in such stocks and participates accordingly, knowing that , one day, the floor might fall out...if they are careful and don't get greedy and manage their money (like James talks about hedging) well, fine...

but when that other web site that i won't mention the name of pumps buy and hold of these stocks because they are the way of the future, i get annoyed...i think some business models are doomed to failure...i just can't understand who'd value etoys at 5 billion when the nature of the biz is that John Doe would have to pay shipping costs for bulky items...would anyone order a board game or a puzzle from them or amazon and assume the shipping costs...besides, the barriers to entry are low...

the companies that i believe will do well on the net are existing brick and mortar type businesses, or , obviously dell which had a brand name already...its worth getting a computer shipped to you...but gosh, a 10 dollar puzzle...gimme a break...
