Glad somebody knows what B2B means, but the analysts don't seem to. They have all these B2C companies lumped in to B2B just because they are a retailer selling to a business - Chemdex is like that. There really isn't any difference between Chemdex and Amazon or etoys. Ariba is a true B2B play (although I don't like them) and someone turned me on to Agile last night... they look interesting... they handle SKU changes coming from your vendors. That is a real B2B issue, part of the transaction, its where intel changes from a pentium SKU to a pentium rev1 SKU and your software needs to pick that up seamlessly if you are going to automate the process.

Right now the only B2B commerce plays are Ariba, maybe Agile as a enabling technology, some of the XML tools vendors and ICGE but they have a bunch of B2C's in their portfolio too. Next year more stuff will come out and I think I'm going to have a good year because I really know this stuff.
