capt rocky,

Re: chip on a chip and telecom is next big news.

Yep, PCs look like a done deal. Are you aware of any hard evidence for near term telecom news? Chip on chip?

Regards,

jack

RE: <kz, you interpret Samsung to begin mass production of drdram as bad news. talk about spin. it's here and now. bad news would be 133 in mass production. intels use chart doesn't even mention 133. face it fellows, rmbs is here and will stay here until someone grows ram in their garage or garden. chip on a chip and telecom is next big news. rocky>

Of course Samsung will begin mass production of drdram. All dram vendors will begin mass production of drdram eventually. The issue is whether there will be a smooth transition to it starting with Coppermine/Camino in September or if there will be a huge problem over lack of drdrams during the last part of this year with very high prices and very bad publicity for Rambus as well as renewed support for sdram to fill the gap.

Obviously Samsung will move to mass production, but it isn't here and now. They are late. Shouldn't Intel get something better for their $100M?
