Hey Howard,
I wonder what portfolio manager will be the first to "fall out of love" with it?

As long as the analysts, one after the other, continue to say Cisco is the safer way to play the Internet, because the non-safe companies like Amazon have no earnings on the horizon, I don't think any will have the guts to be the first to step up and say that. To me, this will be especially true as long as Cisco continues to gain share against the competition, which I keep hearing they are in a lot of areas. MHO or course.

Tony

<<P/E based on year 2000 earnings is 93>>

What has been the historical range for this number over the past five or ten years? Thank you.

>>Don't we just love our CSCO!
P/E based on year 2000 earnings is 93

EPS growth rate for year 2000 is 27.9%

PEG ratio 3.22 (a tad high given all the competition CSCO is facing)

I wonder what portfolio manager will be the first to "fall out of love" with it?

44% revenue growth, 26.7% EPS growth, 133 trailing P/E, PEG of 2.81

Sounds like CSCO is terribly inefficient (I know that they are from several people I know there). Their IS budget is larger than their R&D budget (and growing).

This puppy is going to crack soon.

A lot of people are in Love with CSCO (big investing mistake)

But hey....let them. If they like paying a lot for a dollars worth of earnings (and you gotta love that 27% EPS growth and 113 P/E) -- let em.

Lemmings.

of course YHOO with PE>1000 is a much better proposition

AMZN is even better, maybe you will post here their PEG
