Can't resist. I loved the article - SDRAM chips are 16 bits wide but rambus is only 2 bytes wide!

No spin in that one.

Note that the article doesn't see any reason for rambus before 2001.

What else will be around by then?

And the complaint about SDRAM was it used a little more power in x32 form. Ramubs uses a LOT more power in all forms. The "wind tunnel" remember?
