Past performance should not be used as an indicator of future activity.
Cramer is a total "look in the rear view mirror" guy. I don't have an opinion on whether I like him or not...I don't pay attention to his views. All I know is he has never liked a good number of my investments, and most of them have outperformed his. Usually because he focussed on the past without looking for changes in the game.
ORCL is a good example right now.
BTW, what is MSFT's LINUX play (just joking)? LINUX is the OS of choice for Compaq's Alpha server as opposed to NT. THAT is huge!!! It is the first crack in MSFT's wall of shame, and it is likely to continue to grow. ORCL is well positioned in this, and many other markets - yet Cramer says they are too inconsistent. Odd, don't you think?
But...that's all part of the investing game.
