Yes, I think that Toshiba and all other vendors will be eating their 600 MHz drdrams since OEMs don't want them. This is a major reason for high prices for drdram: dram makers have to go to 0.18u to achieve 800 MHz. However, it is also a positive for Rambus since all the 0.18u capacity will be used for Rambus so that PC133 won't achieve CL2 since they're delegated to older technology. So, ironically, drdrams will have faster latency. I said somewhere else that this is Intel/Rambus pinning a Kick Me sign on the back of the dram makers.
