You are correct (I hope). I don't know exactly how their model works, but there are two main problem. Even the most recent mortality tables are based on the mortality experience of people of various ages who died over the past few years. The oldest deaths are people born 80 or more years ago. These survivors had healthier arteries than the ones who died, but chances are their arteries were sicker than the next cohort's will be. The tendency of people 65-69 to die from heart disease has decreased significantly over time, so the life expectancy of people 69 years old continually increase average diets and exercises increase. For instance, studies of metoprolol (a drug) decreases the probability of a second heart attack by about 30 per cent. The little quiz asked if one "had heart disease" it didn't ask if one had had a heart attack. It did not ask if one took metoprolol or had "safe" blood pressure and "good" cholesterol rates. This indicates that it is a very incomplete model for the deaths of persons in advanced ages.
My cardiologists has advised me to invest for the long haul and not to try to time the market. After my six-way bypass 6 years ago, my surgeon said I had better than average life expectancy. A nasty scar but great expectations. My internist told me I had the body of a 35 year old man, and that he had checked with the guy and he didn't want it back yet. If I didn't like to drive Italian sports cars too fast on mountain roads I would be pretty comfortable.
