<<I particularly find fascinating the flying of Hanuman and the arrow (equivalent to Nuclear) that they talk about in Mahabharata. (I forget the exact details but it was drawn by one of the Kaurav supporters after they lost the war. Arjun also drew a similar arrow. A maharishi stopped them both because of the threat of total destruction to society.)>>

"Brahmastram"
Parasuram taught Karna about it. But cursed him to make it useless at a time when he needs the most. I do not believe Arjun has it in his arsenal.

Mahabhart - undoubtedly one of the greatest stories/epics (if not THE greatest) ever written.

Ratan:

Mahabharatha, Ramayana, and other ancient literature have a lot of ref. to the origin of the universe. They let the mind expand. Our Nobel Laureates have been exposed to this mind-expanding ancient Hindu writings. With that in the background and a modern education, they fulfilled their dreams of exploring the universe of their choice and particular interest. It is the free-thinking conditions created by the Hindu and Indian milieu, that was responsible for their success.
