Wrong ! SUNW is strong where it has specialized... it run 15 out of 20 MAJOR ISP's, as well is involved in most of the Bell CO's with their NETRA business. They are also strong in Unix clients, as well as storage and now software (in their world). Their Servers are the Database ENGINE of choice everyone.... The Sparc chip is too expensive for them , but people want to buy it.. The 8 way Xeons cannot compete with Solaris 7 64 processor E10000. I am a proud Intel investor, but each company has their strenght.. A focused portfolio of SUNW for Internet Server technology INTC for the best x86 (and Merced) microprocessor company in the world. MSFT Need I saty more.. Desktops and a lot more EMC Super-Storage CSCO The Network builder of the net, with their "iron-lock" IOS , a la MSFT... DELL The beat PC vendor in the world, with an E-Commerce model that is for now, unbeatable. JMHO Bye Jean
