Agreed Jerry. There's even ways to spin it quite positive, as earnings may be well understated. Certainly when a company is bought out at, say, a 40% premium to market cap. makes one wonder if we aren't undervaluing many stocks out there with 'high' valuations.

To thread: May not make me popular but whether you are short or long it seems like there is kind of a lot of 'clutter' on the AMZN thread. The result will be many who could have contributed something stay away. I have run through a representative 60 or so posts each day for a week now and, man, it's tough slogging. Hey, no way should I or anyone attempt to regulate what's posted, I'm just making the point that many many good posters will never bookmark and follow this thread if they have to wade through hundreds of posts a day that are not even tangentially related to AMZN or the 30% or so that have, as their entirety, responses like: 'I hear ya.' I.e., this works in normal speech but SI still requires a click to get through. Hey take it for what it's worth.
