Hey, guys PowerVault IS NTAP. Dell is talking about the biggest NTAP clustered config with new 38GB drives, I believe. Remember the cc where Dan W said NTAP would be quadrupling its storage capacity to put an end to the EMC criticism of NTAP scalability? Remote mirroring = NTAP Tested on "hundreds of customers" = NTAP customers. The news is that Dell and NTAP have decided to scale Dell's product line up. Originally the intent, I believe, was for Dell to just sell mid-range and small filers for the NT server world. Looks like NTAP has decided to take the fight to EMC on all fronts--not just NTAP direct sales. A very good move, imo.
