NASC -Network Access Solutions (NASC: news, msgs), which provides DSL connectivity mostly in Bell Atlantic's region, gained 1 3/8, or 7 percent, to 16 5/8, after posting a 20 percent surge Thursday.

Network Access Solutions is attracting more interest because it's relatively cheap compared to its rivals. "If you look at a multiple based on enterprise value to revenue, the average of these companies, Rhythms, Northpoint, Covad Communications (COVD: news, msgs) and Excite AtHome (ATHM: news, msgs), are trading at 20 times 2000 sales," he said. Network Access Solutions trades at half that multiple
