Want to know why Greenspan can't do anything to stop the bubble? On CNBC just a second ago, they had a call-in segment. The guest was Bill Seedman (sp?) The first caller said "What do you think of getting people together to get Greenspan to leave the market alone and keep his hands out of it" (paraphrased from memory) Greenspan isn't utterly stupid. He knows if he does anything that stops the mania dead in it's tracks that he'll be the most hated man in america. There will likely be dozens of Mark Barton wannabes out for his head, literally.
