More signs of life from our S. Hemisphere SPs:

TESAMS G* Venezuela web site has been upgraded since my last visit. In Spanish, of course, but I note several recent press releases announcing successful G* launches, plus a couple of local roaming & retail SP agreements. Venezuela gateway is said to entail an investment of 30M$ if I read the Spanish correctly. Couldn't find a start of service date.

In addition to the usual Q, Ericy & Telital graphics, it has something new (to me), reprinted below, that appears to convert certain electronic devices (e.g. fax/modems?) into G* receivers:

panel solar.

El fabricante de este equipo es Ericsson."

Valueman, I second Maurice. Your questions and concerns are right on. Let's see what is said on 9/8. That is a key conf in my book. I think they will have to field some tough questions and hopefully will provide succinct answers. I will say again, demand isn't the problem at + or - 1.00/min. Marketing is.
