is there still a registration fee to get on SI, or has it converted to free?

Tell them it costs a bundle!

I told them to come on, but they're in their own world.

hi Mark,

you know the old saying, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't ..." They may not be coming because they like being where they are. Don't waste too much energy on them.

as far as the registration fee is concerned, yes, i believe you still need to pay it in order to post on SI.

good luck.

<<<there are two threads devoted towards discussing QCOM. If they truly want to .....>>>

Actually, a lot of the gorilla list people *do* belong to SI....but obviously at least one of the posters is a bit hysterical......many of those that belong to the gorilla list are into a different sort of investing, many are software oriented (SAP, ORCL, MSFT, SEBL, (and some INTC) discussions carry on forever, it seems, with lots of patriotism expressed on occasion) and they seem to enjoy the hysterical ones posting, and do not retaliate unless it is in their own field of expertise. I follow QCOM, GSTRF, JDSU, BRCD, GBLX, but the response from the list for these stocks is minimal, so I started coming by here to learn more. Sometimes the best part of the postings by the hysterical ones is that some lurker will come out of the closet and pound the hysterical one back into submission (Ali Bukhari did that recently on the gorilla list, much to my pleasure and edification)((and relief)). I actually started following QCOM due to the postings from a gorilla list member that is employed by Q.
I must say that was the best investing lead I ever received, next to AOL back when. I fortunately had the wit to dump out of AOL quite a while back, when it was just getting ready to tank. Q has kept me in the black through some heavy red ink. Actually, I am down to just investing in technology I know about, and I know about Q, but I learn more every day, mostly from this list on SI.
