Paul. Re: "No - it appears to be a Windows NT problem. The LINUX OS runs OK... This goes back to my previous point about Intel's future less under Microsoft's control. That gives everybody more flexibility. I like the alternate OS's for Merced. HL

That would be INCREDIBLE. A public demonstration of a running system only a couple of weeks after first silicon of an entirely new architecture. Contrast that with AMD who took the better part of a year to publicly show their K7! EP
