Jim,
I had the same general reaction to AG's actual speech as you... nothing really new, a nice little history commentary and a couple of clues to what is rattling around in his head when he is thinking about interest rate moves.

It would be interesting to find out where that "inexplicable" came from, probably just a reporter with little financial background doing a quick attempt at summary... and failing. It would also be interesting to find out if those calling for AG's hide had actually read the speech before starting to stack wood around the stake. Anybody for s'mores? ggggg

The inexplicable is explicable from someone who knows the Fed. Res. Bd. chair. L. Rukeyser says: The guy's just having some fun and clueless as to future policy.

All the noise did was to remind me to renew my subscription to the Louis Rukeyser's Wall Street newsletter.

Have fun and enjoy the weekend.
