DaveMG. My opinion is that the action since April is the early purchasers--both individuals and funds. I think it is quite possible to see earnings of $5.50 and $8.50 for FYE 9/00 and 9/01 respectively with a PE approaching 70. This would be the herd effect I think is possible. Today's Q prices are cheap if the pace of change inundates oldies like AT&T (defensively cutting price to hold customers until they catch up), NTT DoCoMo (defensively cutting price to hold customers until they catch up), and to a lesser extent, some or the entrinched Europeans and as a result they loose their customers to upstart companies before thaey can get networks and services in place. Younger customers can be very fickle and change phone vendors in a hurry if there is some killer app that takes CDMA to run.
