A sentence taken from the CBS Marketwatch News

If account growth rebounds from the summer slump, "I'm back to a bullish stance," he added.

This is pretty idiotic if you consider that account growth has been HUGE this summer!
I thought they were concerned with profits this summer.....Sheeeesh

From the Bull Market Report:

$$$$$ E-TRADE, AMERITRADE DOWNGRADED

Lehman Brothers lowered their recommendations on both E-Trade and
Ameritrade to "outperform" from "buy" due to increased advertising
spending. The top eight e-brokers have budgeted over $1.2 billion for
marketing in fiscal 2000, up as much as $500 million from 1999.

COMMENT: We don't buy it. We know they're spending money. We expect
losses and are prepared to wait.
