Datek has the current bid for AMD at 19 1/8. Does anyone know if this is correct? Did it tank in after hours trading? Datek regularly has quoting problems, so theirs may not be accurate. Pravin.

kap - <A while back, Intel looked at SOI and decided that it was unsuitable for the type of volumes that the Intel process requires. But if SOI gives you say a 20% performance increase, it would have been perfectly reasonable, to use it for low volume, high performance parts like Xeons.> Glad you're not running my fab. The 20% thing you cite is relative. Intels devices are already extremely fast, and would not garner 20% increase in performance, at an absolutely staggering cost. Look for Intel SOI in the future, when it makes sense. PB
