Mike, do you really think a five mile diameter open pit
would be allowed in a Provincial Park, beside the Saskatchewan
River, within miles of the oldest historic site (Fort a'la Corne)
in the province, within a few miles of an Indian Reserve and
being a popular recreation area for tourists?

Stripping ratio is about 1 : 1, the cost to go underground is
favourable, considering the infrastructure, it will be an
underground mine.

I have never heard of selective mining at a 100 metre depth,
maybe Art D was selectively selling shares last month so he
could afford some new textbooks on selective mining techniques.

FURTHER STATISTICAL ANALYSIS AND VALUATION UNDERWAY

Macrodiamonds recovered from the minibulk samples have been forwarded to the DeBeers laboratory in Johannesburg, South Africa for evaluation These macrodiamonds will also be valued by world renowned diamond valuator, Dr. Luc Rombouts of Terraconsult at Antwerp, Belgium. He will also be conducting a statistical study of all diamonds recovered from the Fort a la Corne property to date. This statistical study will provide an estimate of grade for potential commercial-sized diamonds recovered from the kimberlite bodies. The studies will assist the joint venture in focusing on the best targets for the 1997 drill program, and may indicate higher grade zones which might be amenable to selective mining techniques. Results of the statistical analysis and valuation are expected to be available by mid-December.
