Gene,
Hi!!!
Fully understand your issue here...Frankly, I feel it is the power and the confidence that makes DELL's internet sales so exciting (aside from the financial savings we are told it creates at both ends)
No matter how much they "added" since August of 98 from corporate customers..Someone human being said "yes" to just letting DELL handle the business..This is the relationship that is the #1 goal of all DELL employees..this is the culture that they have created...and, of course these respectful relationships that were formed from performance and quality are why a LOYALTY has been created for the future...The recent announcements of DELLWEB and the service that DELL can provide at a tremendous cost advantage to both corporate and DELL has me more excited about their future growth rates than ever before...DELL stealing service contracts at the rate they stole market share in all the other areas of past? I can't even imagine where we'll be in a year or two or threee...I've heard that DELL is already "stealing service from IBM and we are not only better at it..we're a lot cheaper"....This DELLWEB situation is scary...very scary...And to think: From what I've read this is what was started in a dorm room..And, will continue spreading as long as the service of DELL is above the rest...It sure appears that it was for years.. With DELL now doing it diagnostically...I really don't see how the others can survive...DELL owns the customers because they know their history..15 years of Direct is for sale..IMO it is a corporate bargain for anyone smart enough to do business with DELL...DELL is hooking up the world...

Best, Kemble
