taxman, Check out the spreads on MSFT leaps options. Some used to have a spread of upto $2 between bid and ask on 2001 and 2002 options around 80 to 100 strike. Now i don't see any even over $1. That is unbelievable!!!

I love the options exchange wars. It is about time they stop robbing individual traders.

Even the shorter term spreads have declined significantly---some down to 1/8 on cheap options and 1/16th on very cheap options.
All we need are a lot more options interlisted on different (competing) exchanges.

It is going to make options trading on an intraday basis a lot of fun without having to make up the big spread---now sudden swings in the market should get easier to play. I bet options volume also picks up in a big way (thanks to people like who will try daytrading options a little more).
