Drakuvitch is right on target with that "worst rally of the century" piece. Another excellent technical analyst who is extremely bearish now is Don Hays of Wheat Securities. As bullish as anybody through 1998; now ultra bearish.

The lengths to which the bubblemeisters in the financial press are going to keep people from bailing out astonishes me.

The FINANCIAL TIMES ran an article today on Greenspan's speech entitled -- "US Profits are Understated Says Fed Chief" They choose not to headline any of Greenspan's cautionary remarks, but focused instead on the one portion of his speech that could be construed as positive for equities.

Hi Rarebird:
Can you enlighten me? The rampant growth of the internet besides
the demographic's factor..so many baby boomers socking away retirement money besides the extradinary deflationary force of the internet
just can't get me long term bearish on midcaps and small caps.
Also the currency problems still haven't gone away..looks as if
south of the border might have a rerun..Mayalsia might have something
awful happen at end of september..all that is good for dollar..
How many billions will be spent now by corporations and small businesses for internet exposure? The technology is screaming along so that even if they already have web exposure, they have to upgrade it..just look at streaming audio and video..mpeg3..have you heard the quality of the music..sure macromedia flash etc is still antiquated..
a lot of those sights are hard to read..but they certainly are fast..
check out the site of medbroadcast.com ..so many sites
will behave like that one shortly..
just look at companies like vsoft.com on the cutting edge..also the latest ruling about cable companies..
will all that come to a stop?
