The lead time for packaging and materials is not a problem for an initial order and is not entirely GUMM's responsibility, depending on the contract. In any case, materials for the gum itself are in great supply by GumTech. Since they have inventory of raw materials for many different gum customers, ramping up one, even expediting a large one, is not a problem.

Even if it were, 1-3 weeks, even on top of the production time, is not a long time - and any gum contracting company would have them. GUMM would not be responsible for distribution of nicotine gum, the big pharma partner would be.
