Gordon, Every dog has his day. Lest you forget Intel stumbled more often and in more costly ways than AMD, but since they were a monopoly they had the market by the b*lls theye were better able tio overcome these problems. AMD is fighting a good fight and has clawed it's way from being an entire generation back of Intel in the 286-386-486-586 market climb to the point where it leads Intel in chip performance, if not in volume and sales. I expect even Jerry has learned to close mouth when it is full of cr*p and will let his managers run things, instead of mangling them hisself.
So now we wait, let it unfold and see what the Athlon does in the market place as well as the technoplace.
As to Joe Arena...he should remember you are only as good as your last win.

Bill

Gordon, Congradulations on posting Joe Arena. Finally you have put forth someone who is a bigger blowhard than your self. How refreshing. If you have a chance ask Joe how many trips he has made to Dresden to check on AMd progress, his first hand observations might be interesting.

Lightbrain,

Your motives are in serious question. Please play with yourself elsewhere.

Gordon - Re: "Found this post by Joe Arena on the Intel board at AOL about AMD"

Great article by Joe Arena.

Thanks a lot !

His following comment says EVERYTHING:

" Always buy the leader, they got there for a reason. "

How astute !

Paul
