I think I'm a bit confused here. Does it really matter if gold production has doubled in the last 20 years when world population has also doubled and even the third world is getting substantially wealthier? I would think we are yet strained to keep up with demand.

Of course, the current price suggests you are right 100%, --Alan

Why go with a simple easy-to-understand explanation, when a complex one is so much more exciting. Here in the US, more young folks believe in UFOs that think they will get Social Security benefits. They probably think the X-Files is a documentary.

Also, there is the new "politically correct" definition of responsibility. When you do something good it is because you are a hard working brilliant person who deserves great wealth. When you do something wrong, like predict gold prices going up for the last three years, it isn't your fault. It's a conspiracy !

There used to be two kinds of people "winners and losers", but now we have "winners and whiners". It's very sad :(
