AICE Commentary:
As the week closes, 8mx8 PC 100 product maintains its positive
pricing trend. Sources in Asia and the US expect the strength to
continue next week as supply remains tight. The Intel processor
market is stable, but OEM excess has become more noticeable over
the last couple days.
Sept 1st OEM pricing is going up.
I am hoping that this continued strength is good for a couple of points. A Micron person told me they have no extra
product to sell into the spot and demand is extremely high with OEMs that most is going to them. So to me the OEM price hike will benefit MU profitability the most.
My take is the spot is around $8.10+ and the OEM is around $6.
