doesn't matter....adverisers look at the whole picture here....ads or not ..page views = dollars in ads ...why do you think someone paid millions for raging bull "a free service"...it's not the membership fees you guys pay it's the ADS....so you really think si is worth 60 million because of membership fees

For members. Non-member lurkers see ads.

I agree with those who think Tony was terminated because he was pulling eyeballs away from SI, to his private site. He even publicized his intent to build a competing discussion site.

Why would SI want to let that continue?

But it's too bad some resolution short of banning him altogether could not have been reached.
