Sir, you are quite correct. But, like so many accounting
situations, it is a tricky thing when a company does a buyback.

Ron, many companies are using debt to repurchase shares. I can't recall where I read it but in 4Q98 companies spent 130% ( not a typo)of their earnings to repurchase shares. Mike
