What do you say to changing the attitude a bit around here? IA in my opinion landed a very good hire recently, Jay Gilbertson who seems rather impressive. Here is the release:

Jay Gilbertson, former WebMD President, Joins Board of Directors of
Information Architects Corporation
Gilbertson to assist on new business development and strategic alliances

August 17, 1999

Information Architects Corporation (NASDAQ: IARC), a provider of Web-based
digital content and information management solutions, today announced the
appointment of Mr. Jay P. Gilbertson to its Board of Directors. Mr.
Gilbertson most recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer of
WebMD, Inc. Mr. Gilbertson will also act as a special consultant to advise
on business development strategies.

Under Mr. Gilbertson's leadership as President and C.O.O. at WebMD, he
negotiated Microsoft Corporation's (NASDAQ: MSFT) $250 million equity
commitment to WebMD, a $220 million Internet health care alliance with
DuPont (NYSE: DD), and numerous strategic alliances with leading consumer
sites such as Lycos Corporation (NASDAQ: LCOS), CNN News Group and EXCITE,
Inc. WebMD announced on May 24 to merge with Healtheon (NASDAQ: HLTH).
The then combined value of Healtheon and WebMD was approximately $20
billion.

"Mr. Gilbertson is highly regarded by the Internet, healthcare industry and
Wall Street," said Robert F. Gruder, Chairman and CEO of Information
Architects. "His considerable skills in negotiating strategic alliances
and acquisitions will make him a valuable addition to our Board. I look
for Mr. Gilbertson to play an aggressive role in expanding both our
strategic business alliances and our relationships with the financial and
analyst community."

"After years in the health care field, I have witnessed first hand how
difficult it is for large organizations to deploy existing data on the
Web," said Mr. Gilbertson. "Whether the information is locked up in large
legacy systems, or on simple word processing files, gathering the
information - from different sources - on different platforms, has been a
daunting task. I believe that Information Architect's patented Metaphoria
technology is the next generation breakthrough in content aggregation
solutions. I am delighted to have this opportunity to use my skills to
assist Information Architects in positioning Metaphoria as the "standard"
for content aggregation and syndication on the Web."

Prior to Mr. Gilbertson's tenure at WebMD, he served as President, Co-Chief
Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of HBO & Company and a member
of the Office of the President. He was responsible for the Payor Solutions
Group, International and UK operations, finance, business development,
Business Partner Solutions Group, information systems, human resources, and
legal functions within the company. Prior to HBOC, Mr. Gilbertson was a
financial manager for Electronic Data Systems Corporation (NYSE: EDS),
based in Dallas. He began his career as an auditor with Grant Thornton
International Certified Public Accountants in Chicago. Mr. Gilbertson
received a bachelor's degree in business administration/accounting from the
University of Iowa in 1982. He is both a CPA and CMA. Mr. Gilbertson is a
member of the Business & Technology Alliance, the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of CPA's and the Institute
of Management Accountants. He serves on the Board of Directors f
or Anacomp, Inc. (NASDAQ: ANCO).

Also in a previous release a private investor ponied up $5 million in cash to help IA gear up for their Metaphoria business. Why would someone or some people want to gamble that kind of money on a crap-shoot? I'd sure like to know.
As shareholders, maybe we can discuss what positive(s) he (Gilbertson)obviously feels is out there for IA which in the end helps us!

Just a thought....
