What ever really happened to US Filter? We certainly couldn't blame René ... could we?! cayman_98 ********************************************************************** Thermo Tech Technologies Inc. Subsidiary to operate out of US Filter offices Thermo Tech Technologies Inc. TTRIF Shares issued 56968415 1899-12-30 close $0 Wednesday Feb 11 1998 Mr Rene Branconnier reports US Thermo Tech Inc, a new company, has been incorporated which will operate out of the North Andover, Massachusetts office of US Filter Operating Services. This follows the advancement of discussions towards a joint venture agreement between the two companies covering the ownership, operation and supply of raw materials for Thermo Master plants beginning with the northeast region of the US. Mr Jim Coull, vice-president of marketing, Northeast region, will manage the new company and work with the management of US Filter Operating Services to develop joint business opportunities. This joint initiative follows a thorough due diligence on the part of US Filter technical staff and management. US Filter Operating Services see four major benefits to this relationship: 1. US Filter has all the necessary resources and systems in place to operate the large number of Thermo Master plants expected to result from this venture; 2. US Filter, through the 115 companies which it currently owns, will be able to supply as much as 90% of the equipment used in Thermo Master plants, thereby reducing capital and operating costs through favourable pricing arrangements; 3. Thermo Master plants give US Filter an effective technology to supplement its existing and future wastewater treatment projects; and 4. This partnership will allow US Filter to expand into new markets, particularly the food handling and food processing industries. This technology will drive the sewage biosolids treatment market into the future. US Filter has 12 to 15 projects in the northeast right now which need Thermo Master plants. US Filter currently operates approximately 300 plants across the US. US Filter Corp, with annual revenues in excess of $4 billion, offers single-source solutions to municipal and industrial customers through the industry's broadest range of cost-effective systems, products and technologies.
