don lane: RE: < If Brinker shows up next weekend >

I think it will be more fun if Brinker takes off next week for the Labor Day holiday. Everyone will wonder if the media blackout he promised in the event he issues a sell signal is in effect. The suspense will be terrific. Only subscribers who receive their Marketimer during the following week will know for sure.

Listeners in the Madison Wisconsin area will have to tune in to WLS Chicago if they want to hear Bob next weekend. Some bonehead at WTDY made the decision to replace Bob Brinker with another hour of Kim Komando's computer show, and the remaining hours with some guy named Mike Gallagher. I'm not sure what's going on at that station. I hope they get enough protests to make them reverse the decision, or someone else picks up the show.

oh yeah. Well yesterday he said he would be look at the indicators next week, I am anxious to hear about what he may see.

The thing about the markets now, IMO, is whenever there is a mild scare or a Greenspan warning, people bail out. The minute something
looks safe again, people rush back in bigger than before.
I have heard that Dow is pooping out because the transports
have failed to follow-through on there gains. So you may right,
but since so many now are making their decisions about their
investments, I feel something really catastrophic will have to happen to keep people out for long.

don: Re: " You are going to listen to Brinker next weekend? That could turn out to be a neat trick! Isn't next weekend Labor Day weekend? If Brinker shows up next weekend, then he is truly a poor werkin stiff and nothing but a werkin stiff. Can't he even get his boss to give him Labor Day weekend off? Poor sap!"

My entire family of Werkenstiffs gathered for a Labor Day weekend barn raising. We sought to listen to Brinker's show because one stiff likes to know there is another stiff in the world working the holiday weekend shift. Brinker was nowhere to be found. And we concluded that he was probably working somewhere other than at ABC this weekend because we all know he is the king of the working stiffs. Some surmised he was working on the golf course carrying Bob Junior's bags after coming up one stroke short. HA.
